Tri-Phase was retained to provide asbestos abatement and demolition services for a former flight training centre.

The scope of work involved the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials such as vinyl floor tiles, plaster, texture coat as well as asbestos-containing pipe insulation.  Other hazardous materials including PCBs, mercury and lead-containing materials were also appropriately removed, packaged and disposed of at licensed waste receiving facilities.

All abatement work was completed prior to the demolition of the 125,000 square foot, two story building including the removal of foundations and footings.  All materials removed during this phase of the project (i.e. concrete, asphalt, metals, wood, etc.) were segregated on-site in designated areas and recycled.

Following the completion of abatement and demolition work, the excavated areas were backfilled, graded to match the surrounding areas and left in a clean, graded state.
