Tri-Phase was retained to provide civil work and remediation services for a Rail Maintenance Facility located in Toronto, ON. Prior to commencing work, Tri-Phase provided all vehicle and pedestrian traffic protection including all barricades, delineators, temporary signage for traffic control as well as a detailed construction staging scheme as reviewed by the Consultant.

The scope of work included the removal and off-site disposal of asphalt pavements, concrete curbing, and the relocation of an existing guard shack. Tri-Phase provided soil remediation to the site through the dig and dump method of approximately 8,000 tonnes of contaminated soil. Once the soil was remediated, the excavated area was backfilled, graded, and hot mix asphalt pavement and concrete were installed. Tri-Phase also completed site services including excavation, shoring, dewatering as well as the supply and installation of Oil Stop Valves and Valve Vault Structures, complete with manhole access, grate and cover and connections to existing storm sewer. Tri-Phase restored the site, and all work was completed on time, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
