Tri-Phase was retained by the college to provide demolition services of one of their buildings in Welland, ON.

The approximate area was 40,000 sq ft. consisting of a single story masonry/steel building.  Work included the demolition, removal and disposal of all demolition debris including concrete, timber, organic materials, roofing, mechanical, plumbing and electrical equipment, as well as masonry foundations, driveways, walkways, footings and all other structural foundations.

One of the challenges of the project was to keep intact one of the walls of the building as it was attached to a gymnasium and another building that were not slated for demolition.  In order to accomplish this objective, the building floor and roof at the remaining wall was cut safely to separate the building being demolished.  Tri-Phase prevented movement, settlement and damage of the other two buildings and isolated and rerouted the water supply, natural gas, electrical, and plumbing and heating services for safe demolition while maintaining the full operation of the gymnasium and its services.
