Tri-Phase was retained by a school board to complete their 65 foot chimney removal and demolition at their secondary school located in Brampton, Ontario. The scope of work included the removal and disposal of the entire chimney including but not limited to concrete blocks, bricks, mortar, liner, chimney cap metal flashing, sealants, metal cover plates, ladders, concrete cap, steel reinforcement, metal rungs, etc. Prior to the removal of the chimney and its components, Tri-Phase ensured to protect the surrounding area by setting up tarps around the chimney removal location. Once the chimney was removed, Tri-Phase then removed any existing roofing materials to allow for the installation of a new metal deck closure and new roofing at the abandoned chimney location. Tri-Phase supplied and installed new metal deck closure, framing and structural members to close the roof deck opening left by the removal of the chimney. Tri-Phase completed the job on time, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
