Crib Dock Demolition and Construction at Various Locations in National Park

Service Type: Marine, Demolition
Client: Governmental Agency
Location: St. Lawrence River, Ontario
Tri-Phase was retained by a governmental agency to provide demolition services to multiple crib docks on various locations throughout a national park and their subsequent rebuild. There were over 15 damaged docks in which most of these docks were located on islands on the St. Lawrence River. Tri-Phase provided our own barges, boats and all necessary equipment to conduct the scope of work. The scope of work included the demolition of various crib docks and their associated anchor blocks. Tri-Phase also had to remove the concrete pads that some docks had. Tri-Phase ensured throughout the demolition process to recycle as much of the material as possible. Once the removal was completed, Tri-Phase rebuilt the docks as per the client’s specifications with new concrete pads, anchors, etc. The docks were built at varying lengths, depths and materials. As the project was conducted on the water and in the vicinity of many different ecosystems and wildlife, Tri-Phase had to ensure the protection of these habitats by taking special precautions. Tri-Phase had to coordinate the work depending on weather conditions and water levels and was able to complete the project ahead of time, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
