Tri-Phase was engaged to perform abatement and demolition services for several structures, including a two-storey house, outbuildings, a shop building, a weigh-scale building, grain dryers and five cast in place concrete silos. Four silos were approximately 125 feet tall, 30 feet in diameter with the fifth being approximately 60 feet tall and 30 feet in diameter. All silos contained grain debris, grain servicing equipment including augers and other equipment which had to also be removed. Prior to any demolition work, asbestos abatement was completed in the buildings. This included Type I and Type II procedures of vinyl floor tiles, caulking, and mastic. Once the abatement work was completed, Tri-Phase began the structural demolition of the structures. This included the demolition of all walls, roofs, foundations, footings, silos and underground structures. Once the demolition was completed, Tri-Phase provided backfill and compaction of the areas and site restoration services.
